Twisted
Process and Iterative Design
Strengths:
I started my process with trying to come up with sketches for the lettermark and lockup, rather than sketching designs for the label itself; the main goal of this project being package design. I sketched a lot during the beginning stages of my process to get some inspiration for a starting direction.
Challenges:
Once I progressed in my process, and found a direction that I wanted to go in to make the project feel high-end like I wanted it to, one of the strengths of this project became the label’s versatility. Once I had developed a system for the labels, the colors and style began to fall into place.
Highlights:
One of the highlights for me during this project was the trial and error, as well as the “happy accidents”. When I was feeling bored by the project and uninspired. I decided to look for more inspiration and then experiment on the page to get my creative juices flowing. I also enjoyed prototyping to see what worked.
